SMSU Athletics

Eugene Jones (football, 1968-69) was a member of SMSU's first two football teams in 1968 and 1969 and was named Most Valuable Player both seasons.

Jones was a team captain in 1969 and was also named the team's most outstanding defensive lineman in 1969.

Jones was an original member of the SMSU PE Building Wall of Fame.
