SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor
Mike Fallon (1971-75) was a four-year letterwinner for the swimming team earning numerous individual conference titles and was a member of SMSU’s powerhouse swimming team.
Fallon, a native of Crystal, Minn., won the Northern Intercollegiate Conference 200-yard butterfly in 1972 and 1973 and finished 13th in the 400 medley, 15th in the 200-yard butterfly and 22nd in the 200 medley at the 1973 NAIA Championships
In 1974, he won the NIC 200-yard and 400-yard medley and the 200-yard butterfly and setting the conference and school record in the 400 medley. He also won the conference?200-yard butterfly and 400 medley in 1975, setting conference and school records.
Fallon was a member of three NIC champion teams and competed in several NAIA championships. He concluded his career winning seven NIC individual titles and helped lead SMSU to 24th, 16th and 11th place finishes at the NAIA National Championships his last three seasons.
