SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor
Paige Karno (volleyball, 1992-95) was a four-year letterwinner at outside hitter for the volleyball team and finished her career holding several school records while appearing in 168 career matches.
A first team All-NSIC honoree in 1994 and 1995, she concluded her career as the school’s all-time leader in kills with 1,661 and digs with 2,619.
A member of SMSU’s 1993 squad that qualified for NAIA national tournament, Karno still ranks (as of 2008) as the school’s all-time leader in digs while she currently ranks second in kills, second in attack attempts (5,013), sixth in kills per game (2.81) and sixth in service aces (144).
A two-time SMSU Female Athlete of the Year honoree, Karno was honored by the NSIC following her senior season with the Willis R. Kelly Award, an honor that goes to the top female scholar-athlete in the conference.
