SMSU Athletics

Jerry Marquardt (community member) spent over 20 years as the play-by-play announcer for SMSU football and basketball as the sports director at Marshall radio.  As the "Voice of the Mustangs", Marquardt hosted numerous Mustang coaches shows and was the master of ceremonies at numerous SMSU athletic banquets.

Marquardt passed away in January of 2000.
