SMSU Athletics

Jeri Madden (coach/administrator) served as volleyball coach at SMSU from 1971-85 and was the women's director of athletics from 1974-85.

Madden her coaching career with a record of 254-204-9 in 15 seasons as head coach and led the program to its first-ever conference title in 1985.  SMSU also won NAIA District 13 titles in 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1985.

Madden also helped coach track, softball and tennis during her tenure.

Madden was inducted into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Hall of Fame in 2001.
