SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor
Jordan Miller (2008-13) was a five-year member of the men’s basketball team and closed his career as one of the most dynamic playmakers in team history.
Following a redshirt season in 2008-09, Miller, a native of Mitchell, S.D., made a major impact his first season on the court in 2009-10, leading the team with 71 3-pointers and ranking second in scoring (11.1) to help the Mustangs earn 17 victories.
Following a sophomore season in which he connected on a team-high 52 3-pointers and finished second in scoring (13.8) and assists (84), Miller had a breakout season in 2011-12, helping SMSU win the NSIC tournament championship for the first time in program history and advance to the NCAA tournament. Named first team All-NSIC, Miller led the team in scoring (14.2) and 3-pointers (58), while ranking second in assists (84). He was named to the NSIC All-Tournament team leading SMSU to victories over Minnesota Duluth, Winona State and MSU Moorhead.
As a senior in the 2012-13, Miller had another dominate season in earning All-NSIC first team accolades. He led the Mustangs in scoring (15.2), 3-pointers (72), assists (109) and was second in steals (35) and rebounding (6.0) in helping SMSU to another winning season.
Miller, named SMSU’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2011-12, never missed a game during four seasons, playing in 115 games. He finished career ranking first in school history in 3-point field goals attempted (692), second in assists (321), third in points (1,563), third in 3-point field goals made (253), fourth in free throws made (300), fifth in free throw pct. (.831) and sixth in field goals made (505).
