SMSU Athletics Hall of Honor
R.A. Colvin (athletic trainer, 1970-94) joined the SMSU health and physical education faculty in 1970 and served as the school's athletic trainer until his death in 1994.
A native of Oklahoma City, Okla., he earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Central Oklahoma and his master's degree at Nebraska-Kearney. He also worked closely with area high school athletic programs and worked extensively with wheelchair athletics at the local, national and international levels. He also served as SMSU's women's track coach in 1981.
Colvin was inducted into the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Hall of Fame in 2001.
