Colby Pack (2003-06) was a four-year letter winner for the Mustang baseball team and closed his career as one of the most prolific hitters in team history.

A native of Lamberton, Minn., Pack batted .339 with one home run as a true freshman before bursting onto the scene during his sophomore year and earning numerous accolades in each of the next three seasons. As sophomore in 2004, Pack earned all-conference honors batting .380 with a team-high 13 home runs, while collecting 13 doubles and 46 RBIs.

During his junior season in 2005, he put together one of the best seasons in program history setting numerous school records and earning All-American honors. Named the 2015 NSIC Preseason Player of the Year, Pack backed-up the honor setting school records in both base hits (70) and total bases (130). He batted a team-high .414 with team-leading 15 home runs and a team-best 50 RBIs, while also leading the team in runs scored, bases on balls, multi-hit games and multi-RBI games. He was named the NSIC Player of the Year and was named ABCA Third Team All-American.

As a senior in 2006, Pack earned All-NSIC honors once again as he led SMSU with 13 home runs, while batting .333 with a team-high 13 stolen bases.

He closed his career ranking first in school history in games played (178), base hits (208), home runs (42) and total bases (374), while ranking fifth in RBIs (139) and doubles (36). He ended his career batting .372 with 36 doubles, 42 home runs, 139 RBIs and 27 stolen bases.

A standout in the classroom as well during his Mustang career, Pack was named second team CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2006.
