Frank Belmont (1971-75) was a four-year letterwinner for the men’s basketball program and still ranks high in the program’s all-time record book
A native of Waukegan, Ill., Belmont played in 93 career games scoring 1,103 career points, while pulling down 848 career rebounds, which ranks second in school history.
Belmont ranks second in school history with a 9.1 rebound per game average and made 448 field goals in his career. He was the second player in program history to score 1,000 career points and was named first team All-Northern Intercollegiate Conference as a junior and second team All-NIC as a senior.
He led the team in scoring during his junior and senior seasons and led the squad in field goal shooting in his final three seasons. He also set the program single-season rebound record - a record that still stands today - with 11.2 per game during his sophomore season in 1972-73.
